The leading UK music resource
Specialist and non-music specialist teacher friendly, Musical Trixstar is an excellent educational resource which can be used either during school, with whole classes or smaller groups or during before and after school clubs.
The Musical Trixstar Novice questions allow pupils to access their learning by incorporating different learning styles (VAK). This board game encourages social interaction within group learning environments, and is ideally suited to the KS2 and KS3 curriculum.
There is a clear focus on personal learning and thinking skills (PLTS) in all of the Novice question categories: Mime Time, Beat It, Express Yourself, Musical Whispers, Picture This, Songathon, It's a Fine Line, Inner Space and Trixstar Trivia.
Cleverly combining music with literacy and numeracy has produced an inventive, curriculum- friendly package. The Musical Trixstar concept promotes the qualities and skills needed for success in learning and in life. It is a welcome resource in any school for teachers delivering primary curriculum music and is supported by Former Classic FM, Teacher of the Year - Chris Wormald.
As a teacher be prepared to advise & direct when playing as Musical Trixstar is much more than just a game. Each one of the categories can be developed further with each of our lesson plans turning the plenary game itself into a workshop of ideas.
One complete package will allow up to 6 players or 6 teams to play simultaneously. We recommend that if a whole class is participating then up to 4 games would be beneficial.
Inset Day Training for the Musical Trixstar resource and other excellent music teaching techniques including movement and dance is available at a cost of £160 (+ VAT)morning or afternoon session. Cluster schools are invited to attend for an additional cost of £50 (+ VAT) per school. Please contact the main office for details.
If demonstrations/follow up sessions are required please contact our main office either by telephone or email. Subject to availability a Musical Trixstar representative is able to visit your school, discuss or demonstrate Musical Trixstar and how it can be used in your particular school environment. Terms and Conditions apply for the '3 Week Trial' which are clearly shown on the Contact page.
